Direct Selling or Selling for that matter is a skill most of us would rather avoid learning. Probably because we are turned off by ameateur or pushy sales people and therefore never wish to be associated with such activity.
But really… it’s not that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, we girls are perfect for selling; it just requires a few tricks!
I believe selling can be as simple as being interested with the person you are talking to and learning more about their desires, and the problems that keep them awake at night. I mean, that’s what girlfriends do when they get together isn’t it?
By formulating smart answers and solutions, you can easily shoot any excuses down to the drain.
To help you do that, here are my favourite responses to the top 3 objections, a.k.a excuses, encountered by many women in sales.
1. “I have no time…”
Well, schedule it! It’s really that simple. Having no time is one of the most common excuses we hear from people. The truth is, there is no such thing as having no time. There is always time if we make time. But realize that the reason people mouth off this excuse is because they haven’t really understood or realized the value of your offering. When your prospect see the value in your offer, they will make time for it. So by responding with “well, let’s schedule it!”, you will find out if the prospect is serious or not and if the rewards and benefits in your offer interest him or her.
2. “I have no money…”
Let’s change that! We can all agree that we don’t have money, even the richest say they don’t have money- for things that they don’t like, need or generate income from. If you truly like or need something, you’ll figure it out right?
3. “I have no friends…”
Well, there’s a whole world out there ready to meet you! Who believes the “I have no friends line”? I believe we all have friends. We have family, relatives, classmates, neighbours etc.. There are a lot of people that we meet every day. So obviously, this is NOT a valid excuse, so try this respond and then shut up. The person will realize how stupid that excuse is.
It’s all about making conscious choices.
