Where Are The Work At Home Jobs

I have worked on selling almost every conceivable product from home. I made money on some of them, but the majority of the time, I spent more money on trying to “make it work” and buying the “training” and “training materials” which promised me thousands of dollars in profit. But sadly, I didn’t meet my expectations. I have to say I was naive to have tried “envelope stuffing” and “home data entry” which I soon realized was against my principle-to deceit others into the program which was basically what the “job” was. Doing surveys online can be legitimate but honestly speaking, it is not enough to buy me a box of chocolate. Mystery shopping is great – if you get at least 1 project a week. But it’s not a reliable work and not enough money.

Direct Sales and Multi-Level Marketing

A breakthrough came when I was reading the now well known book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. I realized that it was not a “job” I was looking for (because there was none), I needed to start a business. That working from home is really about starting and running your own business. Then I also learned that working for a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company or Direct Sales company is viable only if you are focus and know how to promote your business off line and online as well as creating other businesses to complement your direct sales or MLM business. I did well with a Direct Sales company but when the distributor folded which affected my business, I realized that what I’ve built was not really mine. My business depended largely on their sustainability.
