Ishopathome is where sellers and buyers meet!

Before the internet, traditional advertising avenues like the local yellow pages and newspapers were out of reach for many direct sellers and network marketers. Even distributing flyers didn’t yield the desired results. Then along came the internet, and with it, iShopathome was born.

How it all started…

The story begins with a simple realization: I recognized the need to create a platform where women like you could be discovered online and meet other direct sellers and potential customers. However, I quickly learned that simply having a visually appealing website wasn’t sufficient to attract customers. I had to delve into the world of search engine optimization (SEO) to drive traffic from platforms like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and later, social media.

Initially, iShopathome started as a modest list of Canadian Direct Sales representatives. However, by April 2008, its services had expanded significantly. It morphed into an online hub providing resources for Canadian direct sales, network marketers, and entrepreneurs alike.

About the founder

Hi! I am Imie, founder of iShopathome.

In April of 2003, I created iShopathome as a platform aimed at fostering connections among direct sellers, network marketers, and buyers. The concept was inspired by my own struggle to locate a local Tupperware Consultant.  Frustrated but determined, I decided to heed the age-old advice: if you can’t find it, create it. And that’s exactly what I did!

The journey has been nothing short of remarkable. I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with individuals not only in my local community but also across Canada, some of whom, like Charlotte, I continue to engage in business with. What’s truly heartwarming is seeing how iShopathome has become a place where enduring friendships are formed and business thrive.  It’s a joy knowing that people who first connected through our community are still collaborating and supporting each other today.

Since those early days, my business has evolved into Holistic Business Consulting and Sales Training  But don’t worry,  I’ve entrusted this space to my good friend and community leader, Charlotte Habegger. Charlotte will be continuing to grow this community for you, ensuring that the spirit of connection and collaboration that defines iShopathome remains strong.  You can always connect with me on Facebook.
